On Thursday evening, Y11 and Y12 students teamed up to take in part in the third annual Sixth Form Games Night.
After sating themselves with a smorgasbord of Dominos pizza, the students were placed in teams and competed in five challenging games zones which tested mental, physical and spatial ability.
It was a perfect opportunity for the Year 11s to claim back an evening of respite, away from GCSE revision, and to meet the external applicants who will be joining them in September, as well as their current Lower Sixth peers.
After a farcical attempt at scorekeeping by Mr Maund Head of Sixth Form, the winners of the Sixth Form Games Night trophy were the fortuitously named ‘Team 8’, who were infinitely better than the other competitors. Team Captain Will in Year 12 was fortunate to lead a multi-talented group of four Year 11 girls: Charlotte, Hiruni, Jess, and Sophie.
Mr Maund said, “I would like to congratulate Team 8 for their well-deserved win, and to thank all who attended for making the occasion so enjoyable. On behalf of the staff present, I would also like to thank the students for sharing their pizza so liberally.”
