Celebrating an Outstanding Half-Term of Success

As we wrap up this half-term, it’s time to recognise the dedication, hard work, and achievements of our students. 

🔥 Year 7 has truly raised the bar! 

Freya W leads the commendations leaderboard with an impressive 29, closely followed by Jack L (24), Joseph L and Ella B (23). A special mention to Arabella C, who has achieved an incredible 80+ commendations since September—a phenomenal achievement! Platinum certificates and pin badges were awarded to Arabella C, Millie Y, Grace H, Jack L, Freya W, Grace W, and Alex W—a fantastic accomplishment! 

🏆 House points were hotly contested, with Leighton emerging victorious in Year 7! 

Across all year groups, the following students should be recognised for their standout performances:   

• Year 8: Antonia B, Jackson S, and Eloise R 

• Year 9: Victoria H, Adrianna E, and Arish K 

• Year 10: Sienna C and Li-Anna G 

• Year 11: Hiruni P, Charlie W, Oliver S, Sophie B, Emelie B, and Rosie L 

• Sixth Form: Will S, Adam J, Rhys N (Year 12), and Hugo F & Edward S (Year 13) 

🎉 While individual achievements are fantastic, every merit and commendation play a vital role in house success. With 10 house points per merit and additional points for commendation certificates, the whole AKS community has contributed to something greater. 

After all house points were counted, Gawthorpe has been crowned top house this half-term for all things praise and reward.
