A Week of Triumphs!

It has been an incredible week for our performing arts students, with incredible successes across various competitions.

Scream Oscars Winners

From 140 who originally auditioned 5 of our pupils were winners. Congratulations to: Belle N, Amelie H, Austin L, Johnnie R & Anya D!

Chamber Choir Triumphs at the Last Choir Singing Competition

On Monday, our Chamber Choir participated in the Last Choir Singing Competition at the Marine Hall in Fleetwood. Described as a "tough heat," our talented choir emerged victorious, marking their first win in the competition. As a result, they are now set to perform in the Grand Final at the Winter Gardens Opera House on Tuesday, 1st July. We couldn't be prouder of their performance, which was full of emotion and dedication.

Lytham Performing Arts Festival

At the Lytham Performing Arts Festival over the weekend, Lila N showcased her dramatic talent across three categories. She earned impressive results, including:

  • 1st place in Sight Reading with 90 marks – Outstanding Gold Trophy
  • 1st place in Prepared Reading with 89 marks – Honours
  • 2nd place in Shakespeare Solo – Honours

Our students also excelled in the singing categories at the festival, with remarkable results:

  • Drishna D (9 & Under) took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes.
  • William C (12 & Under) won 1st prize.
  • George B (12 & Under) earned 2nd and 3rd prizes.
  • Kaasini K (12 & Under) claimed 3rd prize.
  • Maisie F (12 & Under) also won 3rd prize.
  • Harriet F (12 & Under) took 2nd prize.
  • Penny Dunkow (15 & Under) earned 1st in both Musical Theatre and Classical English Song, as well as 2nd in Classical Singing, bringing home a silver award.

A Proud Moment for AKS

We are incredibly proud of all our students and their achievements. Their dedication, hard work, and passion for the performing arts continue to inspire us all. Congratulations to everyone involved, and a special thank you to our wonderful staff for their ongoing support!
